Privacy Policy

We make every effort to ensure that your privacy is adequately protected. The Privacy Policy refers to the GDPR, i.e. Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of the EU of April 27th 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/ EC (General Data Protection Regulation). The document defines what data and on what terms we process, how we care for their security and your rights.

 

Personal data administrator

Your personal data is administrated by the Institute of Environmental Protection – National Research Institute, ul. Słowicza 32, 02-170 Warsaw.

Cookies

We use cookies to ensure proper operation of the website, in particular to adjust the content of the website to the user’s preferences and to optimize the use of the website. These files enable the website to recognize the basic parameters of the user’s device (such as: device type, screen  resolution, country from which the entry is made) and thus properly display the website tailored to his needs.

We also use cookies to collect general and anonymous statistical data through analytical and marketing tools:

These settings can be changed in such a way as to block the automatic handling of cookies or inform you about each time cookies are placed on your device. You can delete cookies at any time using the functions available in the web browser you use.

Restricting the use of cookies may affect some of the functionalities available on the website.

 

Transfer of personal data

We use suppliers who process your personal data only on our instructions. We transfer your personal data to service providers that we use to run the website. They provide us with hosting services and traffic analysis on the website. The newsletter related to the website is operated by the Administrator of your data.

Location

Our suppliers are mainly based in Poland and other countries of the European Economic Area (EEA), e.g. in Ireland. Some of them are based outside the EEA. In connection with the transfer of your data outside the EEA, we have made sure that our suppliers guarantee a high level of personal data protection. These guarantees result in particular from the obligation to use standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission or participation in the EU-US Privacy Shield program. You have the right to request a copy of the Standard Contractual Clauses from us.

State authorities

We share your personal data if we are asked to do so by authorized state authorities. The Administrator stores Users’ personal data for a period not longer than it is necessary to perform its obligations. We remind you that Users can delete data at any time.

Your rights related to the processing of personal data

You have the right to:
a) access your personal data,
b) correct your personal data,
c) delete your personal data,
d) restrict the processing of your personal data,
e) transfer your personal data,
f) object to the processing of your personal data,
g) withdraw previously expressed consent to the processing of your personal data.

Security of your data

As the Personal Data Administrator, we make every effort to ensure the security of your personal data.

We commit ourselves to:

  1. a) protecting data against disclosure to unauthorized persons, removal by an unauthorized person, changes, damage or destruction,
    b) allowing only persons authorized by us to process personal data,
    c) ensuring control over the correctness of personal data processing,
    d) keeping records of persons authorized to process personal data, exercise special care so that persons authorized to process such data keep them secret, also after the completion of the Service,
    e) keeping documentation required by law describing the method of processing entrusted personal data as well as technical and organizational measures to ensure the protection of the processing of such data,
    f) ensure that the devices and IT and telecommunications systems used to process personal data comply with the requirements of the Regulation of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration of April 29th 2004 on the documentation of processed personal data and technical and organizational conditions to be met by devices and systems.
